Tale of a Tub
So, I am the proud new owner of a claw foot tub...dating back to the 1940's...we found it on Craig's List for $100. It definitely needs a deep cleaning, not sure if it might need a re-glazing...I am looking into that?! All cast iron and 200lbs of a diamond in the rough...This is what it looks like in theory, but just imagine along of dirt, a stuck-on non-slip flower on the bottom, and some peeling paint on the outside...it will look beautiful when all is said and done!
Bryan and I are beginning our Master Bath renovation and I have always wanted a deep soaking tub and I am just over the moon that I now own one. I am having fun gathering all the inspiration, quotes, colors and ideas...I hope to share all the details along the way...and if you know ANYTHING about claw foot tubs and the re-glazing process, please share, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Gorgeous! I LOVE clawfoot tubs and have always wanted one too!
I don't know about reglazing but my mom just redid her bathroom with one and it looks beautiful.. the grandkids get such a kick out of it but it is too tall for them to see over when they are in it! so funny!
What a find! Good luck with the reglazing. Can't wait to follow along with your remodel. We aren't far behind.
