Coastal Living

Not only do I miss this man but I am missing the beach too...the air is turning cooler here and the days are growing shorter. I am missing the sand and surf... many, many good times and memories have been made on the coast! This is where it all began for us and as our life and love have evolved so has our family...its fun to return year after year, it used to be weekend after weekend and now that we live so far away our visits to the coast are fewer and further between. Luckily though we have 2 wonderful "beachy" towns nearby in St.Joe, MI and New Buffalo, MI - both are wonderful beaches and quaint, charming towns with delish food and fun shopping! We've spent some good times there as well this Summer...Coast or Lakeside in Michigan, this family loves the water and sand! And with any luck we still have a few good beach days left!

Christian

I'm getting to be such a big boy...new words in the last 2 days...

ike (bike)
owww (meow)
rotte (charlotte?!)
ooter (scooter)
wirl (squirrel)
ott (hot)
ulk (Hulk - Campbell taught him!!)

I get asked alot (not sure why) as to how/why I choose "Christian" and besides the fact we really wanted another "C" name to go with other two, Christian just seemed perfect...he truly is a child of Christ! You see, there were some dark days in his pregnancy and I give all the glory to Christ - he watched over us and protected us and granted Christan's Daddy and I the privilege of being this little angel's parents. We knew once he was delivered safe and sound that his name would only be that of Christ - "Christian" and we just love it!

Baby boy, you are growing much too fast...we adore you! May you always feel the presence of Christ in your life and my he always grant us the wisdom to teach you about Him!

8 days to go...

He was out...(May 27ish?!) and now he's almost in...in a little over a week my sweet Campbell will enter the 2nd grade...I cannot believe he is that old, that I am that old?! How can I possibly have an almost 8 year old and a one year old (with a 4 year old between!)? Still a few more supplies and new school "goodies" to pick-up but we are ready! Until then trying to squeeze in every last bit of fun!

Look at my garden grow...

Now...

and then...
Look what we started with and look how far we have come...enjoying the fruits of our labor - tons of tomatoes, small and big guys, peppers, 2 kinds of lettuce and loads of fresh herbs.
We love to go outside each morning and see all the new goodness...Nothing like fresh produce grown in your own backyard!

Corn Country

Look at that sky...and all that room to run!

Look at those chubby hands - this boy loves to swing!

Imagine miles and miles of corn immediately to the left

Rosie cheeks on my rosie girl!

My almost 2nd grader (sniff, sniff)

Looking for "berd", "berd"...(birds that is!)

See Charlotte run...you can't catch me Cam!

Corny smile!

Weee.....

I love Indiana in the Summer...at least once a week you get a vibrant blue sky, a cool breeze and a day without humidity - a perfect day to head to our community's newest park (although its almost 2 years old or more?!). pecuilar in the sense that it was built smack.dab.in.the.middle.of.corn.country. As far as you can see in about every direction is corn, corn, and more corn, (and it is soooo yummy right now too by the way). I thought it a little strange at first; an odd place for a prk but I can tell you it was brilliant. This park provides lots of entertainment, my kids love to hop between the corn and the playground or when that grows old there is open fields as far as you can see! We had a blast soaking in the sunshine and playing hard and fast. When we were all loaded in and headed out we made a stop at the corner produce stand for what else...fresh corn!

Married...

Just back from her wedding...it was beautiful, she was radiant and has waited a long time for her "moment"! This is my husband's cousin and she has been through alot over the years...she is brave and strong and patient and I admire her alot. Along with her new husband she has become a step-Mom (isn't that the worst term?) to 3 of the most precious kids that happen to be ADORED by my kids, so, its all good! And what is it about weddings...?! They make me sappy and nostalgic and filled with hope and optimism for the future! I loved witnessing this new union, thinking back to "my" day, "our" day I didn't think I could at the time but I love you more now than I have ever Bryan...I had a blast celebrating with you this weekend!

Our love and best wishes Cheryl and Jason...may you always be sooo happy!
