What I have in Common w/ MJ...

I have reading and re-reading all my docs. related to the series of tests, MRIs, scopes and US I have had recently and in almost all the cases, propofol was used to sedate to me and put me under...apparently the same drug that ultimately stopped MJ's heart and killed him...Oh, my!

Bryan and I travelled to Indy last week...not really a "pleasure" trip at all but we were able to squeeze in some fun ...one of the highlights was having dinner with an old friend from Atlanta, Tiffany. She has moved back (Atlanta-Indy) recently and it was so muchto see each other after almost 6years! We dined at a really cute spot called Meridian, set amongst the historic neighborhood homes on Meridian Street, we talked and talked and talked...poor Bryan he hardly got a word in, he was a good sport though. We had a great bottle of wine and a delish dinner, and laughed alot which is exactly what I needed. Friends old and new are such a blessing!

Bryan and I also got to enjoy 2 nights away, some great food and great shopping, we even picked-up a few Christmas gifts, can you stand it...?! I SWEAR I am going to be ultra-organized this year...! ha, ha, we'll see!) Speaking of Chrsitmas can you believe its all out at Hobby Lobby? Charlotte and I spent close to an hour looking at all ornaments pink and sparkly! She wants an all ballet/Princess tree in her room this year...I mean can we get to Labor day first?!...Summer is flying by...hope you are having happy days, am I the only one who started Christmas shopping?

Nursery

My favorite room in the house. Right now. Vintage and new. Heirlooms, silver and new treasures alike. Black, creamy, dreamy white, sage green and tolie. Odes to our "birdie", "tweet, tweet...,"
Lots of good memories in the nursery, my last baby... gone are the late night feedings and diaper changes, the nesting preparations, the planning and plotting for just the right space, neat and tidy all in its place. My baby turned toddler...I love you Christian and I have loved the memories made in this nursery...the best is yet to come!

Love is the greatest gift of all...

Charlotte and Noah and lots going on...

Just for fun here is a shot of Charlotte and her buddy Noah at the Zoo...we visited with the animals 2 days before our vacay with all of Bryan's family (22 of us!!!) to SC...a good time was had by all but it is soooo good to be home!

Lots going on here...besides the stuff that goes along with returning from a trip, a kid's laundry from camp (can I get a grosss.......!!!!!) and a dining room table still filled with birthday "stuff" we decided (I decided) that we should paint the entire playroom (our finished basement) - white, which of course involves sanding first and then priming and then...you know how it goes - never easy! After much debate I arrived at a "scheme" if you will...all white with blues and reds - but muted, thinking french ticking, toile and some black and tan mixed in. It had to be gender neutral, fit for 3 kids that span 7.5 years and Mama (and Daddy) had to like it too...nothing too "cutesy" or theme-y, ya know? So, we are headed in a french-country-Paris -(think Madeline or Babar meets the antique stores and PBK...) old-school kind of look - wood toys, muted red wagon, ticking floor pillows, chalkboards, etc...oh and since its 2 boys against 1 girly-girl in that play space, Charlotte will have her own pinky corner for dress-up and sparkles, her dolls etc...so, can you picture it? No?...OK, just trust me its gonna look good when I am all done! I have lhad ots of fun collecting accessories and thrifting and cleaning-out, all in an effort to get this room pulled together...so, I included a few peek pics (of stuff I have picked-up) but then you'll just have to wait and see the finished product!
